OMG WE'RE MARRIED!!!

Thanks to all of our fabulous friends and family, we had the most amazing wedding yesterday.  Michelle and I cannot express how grateful we are to everyone who participated.  We love you all!

Our photographer, Oona Copperhill, has informed us that it may take up to two months to post-process the thousands of photographs that she and her "second shooter" took.  However, she did provide a couple of previews.  We know that the wait will be well worth it.

In the interim, we would appreciate it if those of you who took your own photographs could upload them to our web gallery, http://gallery.me.com/rmchambers#100060.  You can upload them on the site, or just email your photos to rmchambers-835s@post.me.com.

For those of you who participated in the photo booth, we're including the photo strips in the gallery.  The raw photos will be available shortly.

Please check back often for updates.  Thanks again for such an amazing weekend!

Love,

One week away...

Wow. Seven days from now, we'll be Mr. and Mrs. We are in utter disbelief. All the details are coming together, and we could not be more excited for next weekend's celebrations. A number of questions have arisen. For instance...

Q: What the bleep is "Summer Formal"?!
A: Yeah, we thought that one might stump you. It's entirely possible we made it up. Basically, it's an evening wedding and we're pretty swank, so you should dress up. But it's summer, and there's a casual air about summer, so it's not exactly black tie. For the ladies: less than an evening gown, more than a sun dress. For the gents: no tux rental necessary, but coats and ties are appropriate. For both: extra points for vintage attire ;-)

Q: What do I do with this awesome present I'm toting all the way to Tacoma?
A: We are super excited about our reception venue, Tacoma Union Station, but it turns out that in addition to being historic and beautiful, it's also a Federal courthouse. That means no wrapped packages of any kind will be allowed on the premises (you should see what happens at DEFCON-4...). Thusly, any and all packages will need to be left at Kilworth Chapel.

We are confident that several more "FAQ's" will present themselves in the next few days as you all make your final preparations for what we're sure will be the party of our lives, and we will continue to update this post accordingly. In the meantime, we are extremely grateful that so many of you are traveling across the miles to share in this momentous occasion, and we are so very excited to celebrate with you all. See you in a week!! Until then...

Love to All,

Invites Ho!

Today (with 37 days to go, btw) we finally mailed our invitations! Big. Day.
Designer/artist/letterpress extraordinaire Julie Cook of Swash Press created the amazing invite now on its way to a mailbox near you... unless we really messed up the mail merge :).
Also newly minted today, our newfangled RSVP widget! No envelopes to lick or telegrams to send; now all you have to do is click the "Répondez S'il Vous Plaît" tab above to submit your official response.

We can't wait to celebrate with you next month! Until then...

...like an arrow

They say time flies when you're having fun; we've found it reaches supersonic speeds when you're having fun, working full time and then some, volunteering, and planning a wedding. The calendar (and finally the weather!) tell us it's nearing Summer, and here we are in June with 69 days before the wedding!
After a stress-inducing lull in productivity, we've been hard at work the last few weeks getting all our ducks in a row for the big day. First off, our lovely blog has some nifty new features you may find useful. Up at the top there are now additional tabs called "Registry Details" and "Destinations and Travel." Now you can find all the important info in one place! Stay tuned for one more tab, "Respondez S'il Vous Plait." All this newfangled technology...
In other news, we took a jaunt down to Celebrity Cake Studio in Tacoma yesterday to taste 8 different varieties of delicious and decadent wedding cake. It was a tough day, but we persevered, for the sake of our beloved wedding guests :).
We decided on three flavors and let me tell you, dear reader, they are out-of-this-world, the-cat's-pajama's, three-kinds-of-delicious! We're pretty excited about the outside of the cake too...We won't spoil the surprise, but here's a sneak peak:

Until next time, enjoy the sunshine (knock on wood).

Love to all- R&M

No Backing Out Now...

Save the Dates are On the Way! Our latest foray into graphic design is arriving in mailboxes (quite literally) across the country. Invitations will be next of course, and once they go out we'll put an RSVP widget here on the website along with a weekend itinerary and travel info. It's all coming together... stay tuned!

Love to all- M&R

p.s. Also coming soon: pictures from our fantastic engagement party in Dallas! It was a beautiful weekend and we are so grateful for everyone who shared it with us :)

Engagement Photos are Here!

We're super excited to reveal our official engagement photos. Our new favorite photographer, Oona Copperhill [www.oonacopperhill.com] accompanied us to the Museum of Flight and the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard on a recent (very cold) Saturday and we're thrilled with the results. SNEAK PEAK!

This past weekend, we went for an engagement shoot with our new (awesome) photographer, Oona Copperhill. We won't see the full results for another ten days or so, but Oona sent us ONE sneak peak photo today and we just couldn't wait to share it!
